HIFU & CO2 Fractional Laser

If vaginal laxity, dryness, or discomfort is affecting your quality of life, you're not alone — and you don't have to accept these changes as inevitable. Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation uses advanced technology to restore tissue health, comfort, and confidence.

Understanding Vaginal Laxity & Atrophy

Vaginal laxity, dryness, and reduced sensation are among the most common — and least discussed — concerns affecting women after childbirth and during perimenopause and menopause. Declining estrogen levels cause the vaginal mucosa to thin, lose elasticity, and produce less natural lubrication, a condition known as Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM).

These changes are not inevitable. Energy-based vaginal rejuvenation treatments use controlled thermal energy to stimulate the body's own collagen and elastin production — restoring tissue integrity, tone, and function without surgery, hormones, or recovery time.

Conditions We Address

  • Vaginal laxity after childbirth or with age
  • Vaginal dryness and atrophy (GSM)
  • Reduced sensation during intimacy
  • Mild stress urinary incontinence
  • Vulvar lichen sclerosus (CO2)
  • Postmenopausal tissue changes
  • Discomfort during intercourse (dyspareunia)

Two Technologies, One Goal

We offer both HIFU and CO2 Fractional Laser — each with distinct mechanisms and advantages. Your provider will recommend the optimal approach based on your anatomy, concerns, and goals.

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

HIFU delivers precisely focused ultrasound energy to the submucosal and muscular layers of the vaginal wall at controlled depths of 1.5 mm and 3 mm. The thermal coagulation points trigger an immediate tissue contraction response and a sustained collagen remodeling cascade over the following months.

Unlike surface-level treatments, HIFU reaches the structural support layers responsible for tone and firmness — the same layers that lose integrity with age and after vaginal delivery.

Depth1.5 mm & 3 mm
Sessions1–2
Duration20–30 min
DowntimeNone

Non-Invasive

No incisions, no anesthesia, no downtime. The ultrasound energy is delivered through the skin without breaking the surface.

Single-Session Results

Many patients notice improvement after just one treatment, with continued collagen remodeling over 3–6 months.

🔬

Deep Tissue Remodeling

HIFU targets the submucosal layer at precise depths (1.5 mm, 3 mm), stimulating new collagen and elastin production.

💧

Restores Natural Lubrication

Thermal stimulation revitalizes mucosal glands, improving natural moisture and reducing dryness and discomfort.

What to Expect

From consultation through results — a clear, step-by-step overview.

01

Consultation

A thorough medical history and pelvic health assessment to determine which technology — HIFU, CO2, or a combination — is right for you.

02

Preparation

The treatment area is gently cleansed. A topical numbing cream may be applied for CO2 treatments. No sedation is required.

03

Treatment

The applicator is gently inserted. Most patients describe a warm, mild pressure sensation. Sessions take 15–30 minutes.

04

Immediate Recovery

You may resume normal activities the same day. Mild warmth or sensitivity for 24–48 hours is normal. Avoid intercourse for 5–7 days.

05

Progressive Results

Collagen remodeling continues over 3–6 months. Most patients notice improved tone, lubrication, and sensation within 4–6 weeks.

06

Maintenance

HIFU: annual single session. CO2: annual single maintenance treatment after the initial 3-session series.

Ideal Candidates

  • Women experiencing vaginal laxity after childbirth
  • Perimenopausal or postmenopausal women with GSM symptoms
  • Women seeking improved sensation and intimacy comfort
  • Those with mild stress urinary incontinence
  • Women with vulvar lichen sclerosus (CO2 protocol)
  • Patients preferring non-hormonal, non-surgical options

Important Considerations

A thorough consultation and medical history review is required before treatment. Contraindications include active vaginal infection, pregnancy, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, and active pelvic malignancy. All treatments are performed or directly supervised by our physician.

We do not perform these treatments on patients who have not had a recent gynecological examination. We may request records or coordinate with your OB/GYN as appropriate.
